Here at Lombard Toyota, we enjoy not only helping our customers drive home in an affordable new vehicle, but love when we can help the environment while doing so.  The Toyota Prius, first launched in 1997, offers their Hybrid model with a 50 MPG estimate* and ‘Harmony Between Man, Nature, and Machine’ according to Toyota.com.  The solar powered roof, circulates cooler air throughout the Prius, even while the outside temperature rises.

This eco-friendly ‘green’ vehicle offered at your Chicago Toyota dealer, rises above other vehicles in its class.  Many customers rave about the sleek design as well as the ultra-quiet engine.  So quiet in fact, that many may argue that pedestrians passing by in large cities such as Chicago, or suburbs such as Lombard, Illinois, have a hard time hearing that there is an approaching vehicle.

Toyota has plans to launch a sound ‘generator’ that will emit artificial sounds to other vehicles and pedestrians.  While current testing is only available in Japan, the United States hopes to also offer this Toyota product in the United States.  Whereas the Prius Hybrid comes equipped with a back-up beep device, Toyota continues to add and develop safety features for all of their vehicles!!
